I am a blue-collar worker in a white-collar world.

There is nothing like the adrenaline rush you get when you run out on the college or professional football field prior to the kick-off. Or the feel of the wet grass or AstroTurf beneath your cleats. There is nothing like anticipating the first play or the first hit after weeks of preparation and back-breaking work.  I have played competitive sports since I was 9 years old. And after all these years, I still love competing and being part of a team.

 If you examine the winning ways of elite sports franchises, their athletes, and their leaders you’ll find these teams’ success is equally based on finding and developing players and building a winning system that inspires players from the opening kick-off to the final whistle, game after game.

 Sports was a great segue for me into leadership roles. The skills I learned as a player; teamwork, focus, planning, dedication, leadership, coaching and mentoring were all transferable assets into this new world. My adrenaline rush now comes from stepping into the offices of local business owners and corporate America!

Daniel Fowler brings 40 years of experience on the intersection of data and marketing in both the traditional and digital media industries.  He has held senior leadership roles at AOL, Gannett, Source Media, YP and at many high growth startups.

 At Hoegger Communications, Dan is responsible for innovation and growth where he can leverage his marketing and technology knowledge and expertise.
