Integrate Your E Commerce Website within Facebook Ads Manager 101

Written by Erica Sawyer

Purchasing behaviors are simply not the same as they once were. The state of retail is constantly changing, and your customers want the luxury to purchase at your Brick and Mortar and online. Consumers like to browse, research, then make convenience purchases online. Your website is the front door to your business, and you only have one shot at a great first impression.

The fact is “more than 80 percent of the online population has used the Internet to purchase goods and services.” *

If you’re new to the world of eCommerce, you are likely looking to learn a few things on marketing automation and running ads on Facebook.

Facebook still remains “king”, by far, to all the other current social media platforms. This social media platform is popular for a couple of reasons:

  1. It boasts nearly 2.5 billion active users
  2. It offers strategic options for audience targeting

This is the good news because you are able to get your Facebook ads in front of your target audience – the people who are more likely to make an action.

Using the Facebook Shop feature, your business can display your Shopify products through Facebook ads. This is a free service included in all paid account plans with Shopify.

Within Facebook Shop, you are able to do the following:

  1. Make changes to products
  2. View sales history
  3. Fulfill orders

There are a few requirements for setting this up. For example, you must be an admin to the page, the Facebook page needs to be “published”, and your page must use the Facebook Shopping template guidelines.

Add Facebook Shop to Your Shopify Admin Account:

Facebook will create a Shop section on your Facebook Page that displays products from your site.

To get started, you need to log in as admin to your Shopify account and connect your Facebook account. Facebook will then “review” your shop request before you can start selling through Facebook shop.

Facebook is great resources with step by step instructions on what to do next.
